Dr. Douglas Kamerow has been a leader of key private sector and federal
research, health policy, public health, and clinical programs for more than 20
years. He is a skilled writer and editor and a widely quoted, highly rated
speaker and columnist on health policy, preventive medicine, and
evidence-based practice. He has created and led numerous successful
national programs that have made major contributions to health and health
care.

A former Assistant Surgeon General in the US Public Health Service, Dr.
Kamerow is a board-certified family physician and preventive medicine
specialist. He is currently
Senior Scholar in Residence at the Robert Graham
Center for Policy Studies in Primary Care and Family Medicine
and a
Professor of Clinical Family Medicine at Georgetown University, both in
